ACT Prep, Factors In College Acceptance, SAT Prep, Strategies During COVID, The Answer Difference · July 1, 2020

During this time of school closures and social distancing due to COVID-19, you may be feeling like your child’s high school career and college planning process is turned upside down.  Having helped 6,000+ students to affordably prepare for the SAT & ACT, we are here to share four reasons why today’s climate (perhaps surprisingly) offers a great prepping opportunity for your student.

More Time

With school recently out, most summer trips and activities cancelled, and the Netflix queue running low, high school students now actually have time to engage in the preparation needed for these important tests.  And while we don’t recommend hundreds of hours of SAT & ACT prep, practice as for anything you want to get better at, is absolutely essential.  We understand the value of time and therefore offer courses that give students everything they need to know in just eight hours.  With our classes now offered online with live instructors, students can take our SAT & ACT prep courses from the comfort and safety of their own home.

Affordability During Difficult Economic Times

During this health crisis we are in the midst of an economic crisis as well.  While we have always believed in offering affordable classes so that as many families as possible can access excellent prep, that misson rings true even moreso in these times.  In addition to our low-tuition courses, we also provide scholarships. Families attending any of our 24 partner schools can contact their school’s guidance counselor for more information. As well, families in need of financial assistance can reach us here.  We want to be sure that no one is turned away for not being able to afford tuition.

College Scholarship Opportunities

As more colleges and universities become test-optional during this pandemic, your child has an opportunity to stand out with solid test scores.  Additionally, even when test-optional, most colleges and universities will still require test scores when applying for scholarship funds – money that is a huge and necessary benefit to families.

A Brighter Future

While it may be difficult to feel positive about our futures with everything in our world looking so dire right now, college is an excellent forward-thinking opportunity that might just give us that needed bit of hope and meaning. College is a wonderful experience where students grow not only educationally but also, and at least equally as important, socially, emotionally and personally.  So engaging in endeavors such as writing college essays, participating in virtual college tours, and preparing for the SAT/ACT provide students with opportunities to focus on what lies ahead.

Now that you see why now is an excellent time to prepare for the SAT & ACT, please know that we are here to help your student to succeed.

Students enrolled in The Answer Class Online enjoy the same engaging experience as our in-person classes but from the comfort and safety of your own home – and for a fraction of what our competitor’s charge:

  • Specially trained teachers ready to answer students’ questions about the SAT or ACT
